On Saturday, August 1, we’ll be gathering in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park for a potluck, a ritual, and some workshops inviting group discussion about Irish polytheistic practice. (Think of it as a bit like a mini Morrigan’s Hearth event!)
The Theme
Our theme for the event is “Spiritual Skillsharing.” Based on community feedback from prior surveys and events, we want to really focus in on fostering a space for folks to share ideas about devotional practices.
The Workshops
While we still need to pin down schedules, we are tentatively anticipating the following:
divination “salon” (bring your favorite divination method and share with others)
using ogham in a filidecht practice
“Irish lore 101” group discussion
When you register, you’ll have an opportunity to share ideas on what topics you’re excited to discuss at a Celtic polytheist event with other practitioners!
Participation in workshops or breakout group discussions is fully optional.
The Ritual
The ritual will be a simple devotional ritual honoring the gods of skill.
Participation is optional.
Registration
Prior registration is requested so that we can get an accurate estimate on how many supplies we need to stock up on.
If you will be attending with another person or people, we ask that each person register separately to help get an accurate headcount.
Cost
Attendance is free!
If you choose to park a vehicle in the state park, you will need to purchase a $10 all-day parking pass.
Donations to help cover the cost of reserving the picnic site and food is always appreciated but never required.
